International students are permitted to work: Up to 90 full days per year, or equivalent part-time hours. With an average wage of €7/hour, students can earn around €5,040 per year, enough to cover basic living expenses.
After graduation, students can stay in Germany for 18 months to seek employment. The first step is applying for a residence permit for job-seeking purposes. If your job aligns with your field of study, you may become eligible for the EU Blue Card, enabling long-term residency in Germany.
