APPLYING FOR STUDY IN IRELAND

Tuesday - 16/12/2025

You should carefully read the information on how to apply for study programs in Ireland. At the same time, review Ireland’s student visa policy to ensure that you apply to the correct institution and program to qualify for an Irish student visa. You may submit your application through an education consultancy to receive additional support and benefits.

1. General application process

  • Submit your application to the school;
  • The school reviews the application and issues an offer letter;
  • Pay the required deposit and purchase international student insurance;
  • Apply for a student visa – Enroll.

2. Entry requirements

Depending on the program you intend to pursue, specific entry requirements may vary:

  1. Foundation Program: Academic performance: average to above average; English: IELTS 5.0 or 5.5;
  2. Diploma/Higher Certificate:
  • IELTS 5.5 or higher;
  • Academic requirements vary by institution.
  1. Bachelor’s Degree:

  • For the top 8 universities in Ireland:

  • Completion of Year 1 at a Vietnamese university or a Foundation Year;
  • IELTS 6.5.

  • For Institutes of Technology & Private Colleges:

  • Completion of Grade 12 in Vietnam;

  • IELTS 6.0-6.5.
  1. Master’s Degree:
  • IELTS 6.5 or higher;
  • GPA 7.0 or higher.

3. Documents required for study application in Ireland

Depending on each student’s individual situation, schools may request additional documents. However, the most common required documents include:

  • Diploma and transcript of the highest level of education completed;
  • Academic transcript of the current program (if still studying);
  • Passport or birth certificate;
  • English proficiency certificate (if available);
  • Two letters of recommendation + personal statement;
  • Academic or scientific achievements (if any).

Important Note: You can still apply even if you have not yet completed your English certificate, transcript, or final diploma. Simply submit whatever academic documents you currently have. We will obtain a conditional offer letter to secure your place. Once you have the final diploma or provisional graduation certificate, complete transcripts, and a valid English test score, we will help you switch to an unconditional offer letter and proceed with the remaining steps, including the Ireland student visa application, under our full guidance and support.
