ITALY’S STUDENT VISA

Tuesday - 16/12/2025

Your student visa application (entry visa) should be prepared as early as possible, once you have received your official letter of admission. In most cases, the Italian study visa is issued through the Italian Embassy or Consulate General in Vietnam.

Study programs in Italy are divided into two categories:

  • Short-term programs (less than 90 days);
  • Long-term programs (more than 90 days, including Bachelor’s, postgraduate, or other extended courses).

1. For Short-term programs

International students enrolled in short-term programs are still required to apply for a visa; however, no visa fee is charged.

2. For Long-term Programs

Students registering for long-term courses must apply for an Italian student visa. Duc Anh EduConnect will support you in preparing a complete visa application file. In addition, students must apply for a Stay Permit (Permesso di Soggiorno) within 8 days of arriving in Italy.

Required Documents for the Italian Student Visa:

  • Completed visa application form, signed by the student;
  • Two visa photos (4×6, international standard, white background);
  • Original passport, valid for the entire duration of your studies in Italy;
  • Proof of financial resources to support your studies;
  • Academic transcripts, diplomas, and certificates from previous studies;
  • Official letter of admission from the Italian institution;
  • Proof of valid health insurance;
  • Proof of accommodation in Italy;
  • Proof of flight booking.

Important notes for the Visa Application:

  • The Italian student visa fee is 50 EUR;
  • Keep your documents organized and in good condition for easy reference and storage;
  • All documents must be translated into English or Italian, notarized, and submitted according to the required forms. Duc Anh Consulting will guide you to prepare a complete, accurate, and appropriate application and will review your file before submitting it to the Italian Embassy/Consulate/Visa Application Center.

Steps to Apply for an Italian Study Visa:

  • Complete your school application and obtain the official acceptance letter;
  • Translate and review documents; complete the visa application form;
  • Submit your application on the scheduled appointment date;
  • Receive the visa result notification.
