SINGAPORE STUDENT VISA

Tuesday - 09/12/2025

Student visa procedures for Singapore are simple and efficient. Students who wish to study in Singapore must be in good health, have good character, possess sufficient financial ability to support their studies, and demonstrate a genuine intention to pursue their education. Currently, students do not need financial proof, do not need to attend a visa interview, and do not need international English certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL before going to Singapore.

Required documents for visa application

  • Birth certificate;
  • Highest educational certificate obtained;
  • Academic transcripts or current school results (if still studying);
  • Passport;
  • Ten photos (4×6 cm);
  • Letter of Offer / Acceptance;
  • International Student Guarantor Letter;
  • Student visa application form;
  • Visa application fee.

Visa application process

  1. Submit the application form and required documents to the education provider authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs to recruit international students;
  2. The education provider submits the visa application to the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA);
  3. Once approved, the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter will be issued by ICA to the education provider, who will forward it to the school and the student;
  4. The student arrives in Singapore and begins classes.
  5. Within two weeks of arrival, the school and the student complete all necessary formalities for the Student Pass issuance, including the required medical check-up.
