APPLICATION TO STUDY IN SINGAPORE

Vietnamese students commonly apply to study in Singapore across all levels – from primary and secondary school to diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs. Students may enroll in any type of institution, including public schools, private schools, and international universities in Singapore.

PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

Students must take an entrance examination, and the procedures can be quite complex. Therefore, students who wish to apply should contact Duc Anh EduConnect for detailed guidance. General information:

Primary & Secondary Schools:

  • Submit application: February-March
  • Entrance exam preparation: June-November
  • Entrance exams: Late October-early November
  • Results released: December
  • School starts: January of the following year

Polytechnics & Public Universities:

  • Application deadline: February
  • Entrance exams: March or April
  • Intake: July

PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS

The application process for private institutions is simple. Students may apply for programs in English language, diploma, bachelor’s, and more-provided they meet basic requirements such as health, character, and financial capability. Admission results are typically available within 2-4 weeks.

Typical application documents:

  • Academic transcripts and highest qualification
  • English certificate (if available)
  • Passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Four 4×6 cm photos
  • Application form (provided by the school)
  • Application/assessment fee

Application process:

  • Duc Anh EduConnect submits the student’s application to the school
  • The school reviews the application and issues a Letter of Offer
  • The school applies for the student’s visa
  • The student receives the in-principle approval for the student visa
  • The student pays tuition fees and related charges to the school
  • The student travels to Singapore and begins classes
  • The student undergoes a medical check-up and completes the student pass procedures while studying at the institution

Duc Anh EduConnect will assess the student’s academic level, provide school and program counselling, review application documents, translate and complete all required forms, and liaise directly with the school and immigration authorities to obtain the in-principle visa approval.
