Chương trình đào tạo thiết thực. Ở tất cả các bậc học, các chương trình đào tạo đợc xây dựng bởi các chuyên gia trong từng lĩnh vực cụ thể. Các chuyên gia này vừa là các nhà nghiên cứu, đồng thời là những người trực tiếp hoặc gián tiếp làm việc trong lĩnh vực chuyên môn sâu đó, vì vậy chương trình do họ xây dựng mang tính thiết thực cao: được thiết kế dựa trên nhu cầu thực tế của xã hội, của các ngành nghề lao động cụ thể và của người lao động cũng như định hướng phát triển của quốc gia.
– Chất lượng giáo dục được kiểm soát. Bất luận bạn học tập ở trường học nào, khu vực địa lý nào của Úc, bạn vẫn có thể yên tâm về chất lượng giáo dục tại nơi bạn học, đặc biệt khi bạn là du học sinh. Lý do là vì Nhà nước Úc và Bộ Giáo dục Úc nói chung, các Sở giáo dục tại các tiểu bang nói riêng luôn chú trọng việc kiểm soát chất lượng giáo dục. Việc kiểm soát này được thể hiện qua các đạo luật, cụ thể: Đạo Luật Các Dịch Vụ Giáo Dục Dành Cho Du Học Sinh – Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000). ESOS qui định mọi cơ sở giáo dục phải đáp ứng các yêu cầu đăng ký thì mới có thể tiếp nhận du học sinh. Tất cả những cơ sở giáo dục đáp ứng các yêu cầu đăng ký được công bố trên khu mạng Cơ Quan Đăng Ký Liên Bang về Các Cơ Sở Giáo Dục và Khóa Học Cho Du Học Sinh – Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students – CRICOS.
