Đại học Bishop Grosseteste (BGU) nằm ở trung tâm lịch sử của Lincoln với hơn 150 năm tuổi, khu học xá xanh mát và dễ chịu chỉ cách Nhà thờ Lincoln, Lâu đài và thành phố La Mã cổ vài phút đi bộ.
Trong những năm gần đây, trường đã nhanh chóng mở rộng và phát triển các khóa học sang nhiều lĩnh vực mới thú vị hơn. BGU nhận mình là chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực giáo dục với hơn 150 năm kinh nghiệm, hiện tại các chương trình giảng dạy của trường đã được thay đổi với một loạt các môn học thú vị bao gồm Kịch, Tâm lý học, Xã hội học và Thể thao.
Trường Bishop Grosseteste đã được trao giải Vàng trong Khung đánh giá Teaching Excellence Framework, đánh bại 2/3 các trường đại học thuộc Nhóm Russell và thế mạnh của BGU trong việc dạy và học được củng cố thêm bởi các lớp học quy mô nhỏ và việc giảng dạy tiếp cận cá nhân giúp sinh viên học tốt hơn.

Theo Times Good University Guide, BGU được xếp thứ 8 về chất lượng giảng dạy và trong khảo sát Sinh viên Quốc gia cho thấy sự hài lòng của sinh viên về những trải nghiệm tại trường bao gồm học tập, giảng dạy và hỗ trợ học tập; tỷ lệ hài lòng lên tới 85%. Kết quả này khiến BGU xếp cao hơn mức trung bình của ngành và giúp trường trở thành một trong 40 trường đại học đứng đầu cả nước về mức độ hài lòng của sinh viên.
Theo khảo sát The Graduate Outcomes cho thấy BGU xếp thứ 3 tại Vương quốc Anh về khả năng tuyển dụng khi so với các trường đại học không chuyên và có tới 91% sinh viên tốt nghiệp BGU đã có việc làm hoặc học cao lên trong 15 tháng sau khi tốt nghiệp.
