Các trường đại học Anh đào tạo cử nhân, thạc sỹ và tiến sỹ.
Chương trình cử nhân
– Chương trình cử nhân được đào tạo tại các trường đại học công lập và tư thục và có các đặc điểm chung là:
– Thời gian học: Với đa số các ngành học, thời gian học là 03 năm tại England, Wales và Bắc Ailen, 04 năm tại Scotland. Với các ngành Y, dược, luật, kiến trúc, xây dựng, thời gian học có thể kéo dài 5-7 năm
– Đa ngành: có hàng ngàn khóa học để học sinh chọn
– Đào tạo lý thuyết hoặc lý thuyết xen thực hành từ 3 tháng- 12 tháng, thực hành có thể được trả lương hoặc không được trả lương.
Chương trình thạc sỹ, tiến sỹ
Bậc thạc sỹ, tiến sỹ còn được gọi chung là bậc sau đại học và thường được thiết kế theo 2 dạng:
– Học trên lớp do các giảng viên trực tiếp giảng dạy
– Nghiên cứu – có giảng viên hướng dẫn.
Các khóa học thạc sỹ tại Anh thường chỉ kéo dài 1 năm. Khóa tiến sỹ kéo dài 3 năm nếu học viên đã có bằng thạc sỹ và 5 năm nếu học viên mới chỉ có bằng cử nhân.
