7. Điểm mạnh:
- Chương trình học đa dạng: Trường đào tạo hơn 200 khóa học đại học và cao học và nằm trong top 50 các trường đại học trên thế giới (Xếp hạng QS năm 2018) đối với các ngành giải phẫu, khảo cổ học, nghiên cứu phát triển, giáo dục, sinh lý học, nha khoa và các ngành liên quan đến thể thao. Trường kinh doanh của trường đã đạt kiểm định quốc tế và là ngôi trường hàng đầu trong giáo dục và nghiên cứu, trong đó ngành nghệ thuật và nhân văn cũng được xếp trong top 100 toàn cầu;
- Đầu ra của sinh viên: 95% sinh viên sau khi tốt nghiệp có việc làm hoặc tiếp tục học cao hơn, sinh viên có thể hoàn toàn yên tâm về chất lượng giáo dục tuyệt vời từ tất cả các khóa học tại trường (Theo QS 2020);
- Chất lượng giảng dạy: Đại học Otago nhận được nhiều giải thưởng giảng dạy danh giá. Sinh viên cao học của trường được hưởng lợi từ tỉ lệ 3:1 (sinh viên: đội ngũ giảng viên) tại các trung tâm nghiên cứu đa ngành của trường. Đặc biệt, trường được đánh giá cao trong National Teaching Excellence Awards cùng bảy giải thưởng cao nhất trong suốt 15 năm qua. Trường còn xếp đầu bảng trên cả ba tiêu chí giáo dục của TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) bao gồm chất lượng khóa học, tỉ lệ hoàn tất chương trình đào tạo, khả năng duy trì sinh viên theo học cũng như việc chuyển lên cấp học cao hơn;
- Hoạt động tình nguyện: 80% cán bộ của trường hiện đang tham gia vào các chương trình phụng sự cộng đồng như các chương trình chăm sóc động vật và các nhóm hỗ trợ nhân quyền. Trung tâm Sinh viên Tình nguyện của Trường làm việc với hơn 205 tổ chức khác nhau và có khoảng 3.730 sinh viên đăng ký tham gia tình nguyện;
- Giải thưởng: Trong vòng 8 năm qua, trường đã được trao 3 Giải thưởng Khoa học của Thủ tướng Chính phủ dành cho những nghiên cứu chuyên sâu về khoa học, đồng thời nhận được 183 triệu NZD từ bên ngoài dành cho nghiên cứu khoa học;
- Cơ sở vật chất: Campus chính của trường được đặt tại Dunedin, được xếp hạng là một trong 16 campus đẹp nhất trên thế giới (Theo báo Huffington Post). Trường cũng có hơn 150 câu lạc bộ và hội nhóm khác nhau dành cho học viên, và kết quả từ các khảo sát cho thấy sinh viên của trường rất hài lòng với hệ thống cơ sở vật chất tại đây.

- Dự bị đại học: Tốt nghiệp THPT; IELTS 5.5 (không kỹ năng nào dưới 5.0).
- Đại học: Tốt nghiệp THPT từ các trường chuyên tại Việt Nam, GPA≥8.0; IELTS 6.0 (không kỹ năng nào dưới 6.0); Hoặc hoàn thành năm nhất tại 1 trường ĐH với kết quả tốt; Hoặc hoàn thành Dự bị đại học;
- Sau đại học/Thạc sĩ: Tốt nghiệp Đại học chuyên ngành liên quan với kết quả khá (một số ngành yêu cầu kinh nghiệm), IELTS 6.5 (không kỹ năng nào dưới 6.0), có kèm đề cương chi tiết về đề tài nghiên cứu;
- Tiến sĩ: Tốt nghiệp Thạc sĩ chuyên ngành liên quan với kết quả khá, IELTS 6.5 (không kỹ năng nào dưới 6.0), có kèm đề cương chi tiết về đề tài nghiên cứu.
10. Kỳ nhập học:
- Dự bị Đại học: tháng 2, 6 và 10.
- Đại học/Sau đại học/Thạc sĩ/Tiến sĩ: tháng 2 và 7.
11. Hồ sơ xin học:
- Bằng của cấp học cao nhất;
- Học bạ của 2 năm gần nhất;
- Chứng chỉ tiếng Anh- nếu đã có;
- Hộ chiếu (trang có ảnh và chữ kí)- nếu có;
