Các trường đại học tại Singapore đào tạo các chương trình cử nhân, thạc sỹ, tiến sỹ…
Có 3 loại trường đại học:
- Đại học công lập;
- Đại học tư thục;
- Đại học nước ngoài tại Singapore.
ĐẠI HỌC CÔNG LẬP
Sinh viên Việt Nam PHẢI THI ĐẦU VÀO, khá là khó khăn, với tỷ lệ chọi cao. Lợi thế là nếu vào được, sinh viên được hưởng học phí ưu đãi, tuy nhiên phải làm việc cho công ty Singapore 3 năm, nếu không, phải hoàn lại tiền đã được ưu đãi cho chính phủ Singapore.

- National University of Singapore/ 1905/ công lập
- Nanyang Technological University / 1991/ công lập
- Singapore Management University/ 2000/ tư thục
ĐẠI HỌC TƯ THỤC SINGAPORE
Sinh viên KHÔNG phải thi vào, mà chỉ qua xét tuyển hồ sơ, như khi vào học các trường đại học Anh, Úc, Mỹ, New Zealand, Canada… Hầu hết các trường đều có học bổng hoặc ưu đãi và một năm học thường có 3 kỳ học, vì vậy sinh viên có thể hoàn thành bằng đại học trong 02 năm (6 kì học).
Có rất nhiều trường, các trường đều đào tạo đa ngành và theo mô hình:
- Cấp bằng của Singapore cho giai đoạn học cao đẳng liên thông lên đại học, thường kéo dài 2-4 kì học;
- Cấp bằng của Anh, Úc, Mỹ, New Zealand, Canada… cho giai đoạn học lên cử nhân; thường kéo dài từ 2-3-4 kỳ học, nếu sinh viên liên thông từ cao đẳng lên.

ĐẠI HỌC NƯỚC NGOÀI ĐẶT TẠI SINGAPORE
Đây là các cơ sở đào tạo của các trường đại học quốc tế đặt ngay tại Singapore. Các trường này trực tiếp đào tạo các chương trình của trường mình và cấp bằng cho sinh viên ngay tại Singapore, hoặc chuyển sinh viên sang trường mẹ để học tiếp. Sinh viên KHÔNG phải thi vào, mà chỉ qua xét tuyển hồ sơ.
