9. Study Pathways for Vietnamese Students
- After completing Grade 12, students may choose:
- Diploma (1 year) / Advanced Diploma (1.5 years) + entry into Year 2 of Bachelor’s, or
- Direct entry to Bachelor’s (from Year 1)
- After completing Bachelor’s: Progress to Master’s or PhD programs
- After completing Master’s: Progress to PhD programs

- Bachelor’s: High school graduation with an average score of 8/10, or graduation from vocational institutions. English requirements: IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5), or TOEFL iBT 79, or PTE Academic 57 (Requirements vary by program)
- Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, Program-specific requirements apply
- Doctoral (PhD): Honours Bachelor’s degree or Research Master’s degree, IELTS 6.5-7.0 (depending on the discipline)

- UNE ASEAN Bursary: AUD 5,000 for students commencing study at the UNE Sydney campus;
- UNE International Postgraduate Research Award (IPRA): Valued at AUD 29,864, applicable to: 2-year Research Master’s programs, 3-year PhD programs;
- Accommodation Scholarships: Up to AUD 4,000 towards on-campus accommodation for international students commencing in the February 2024 intake.
