SCHOOLS IN THE UK

School education in the UK may consist of 13 years (A Level) or 12 years (IB). Upon completing either of these two programmes, students can progress to the first year of university in any country worldwide. Details of these programmes are provided below:

2. General Information About School Programmes
- AS and A Levels: A Levels are an academic continuation of GCSE, delivered over two years and comprising a wide range of subjects widely recognised for entry into undergraduate programmes in the UK. AS Level is the first part of the A Level programme: after completing the first year of A Levels, students take AS examinations. Students who have a clear career direction often choose to focus on subjects related to their intended major for one year, obtain the AS qualification, and then move on to specialised study instead of completing the second year of A Levels with broader, general subjects;
- IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate Diploma): a two-year programme following IGCSE, equivalent to A Levels, widely recognised for university entry in the UK and globally. There are over 200 schools offering the IB Diploma in the UK;
- Cambridge Pre-University: designed by Cambridge International Assessment, taught in some schools and recognised similarly to A Levels to prepare students for university entry;
- Standard Grade, Highers and Advanced Highers (Scotland): international students may take National Qualifications (Standard Grade, Highers, Advanced Highers) at colleges or private boarding schools in the UK, or through university foundation programmes;
- University foundation programmes & University pathway courses: one-year programmes delivered by universities, colleges or public/private schools, designed to equip students with academic and language skills, study methods, foundation knowledge and subject preparation needed for undergraduate study;
- Combining qualifications: students may combine vocational qualifications with AS or A Levels, or combine them with other recognised training programmes.

Theo quy định của pháp luật Thụy Sĩ về các trường đại học công ở Thụy Sĩ và cơ quan CRUS, có 12 trường đại học tại Thụy Sĩ (10 trường trực thuộc bang và 2 viện công nghệ trực thuộc liên bang và một số trường đại học chuyên ngành)
Các loại visa du học Anh
Tier 4 (Child) student visa- visa du học trẻ em Tiêr 4: là loại visa được xét và cấp theo thang điểm, dành chọ học sinh từ 4-17 tuổi trở lên. Lưu ý rằng nếu học sinh nằm trong độ tuổi từ 4-15, học sinh chỉ được học ở các trường tư thục có trả học phí.
