9. Study Pathways for Vietnamese Students

  • After Grade 11, students may choose:
    • University Foundation Programme (Early Transition Program) / Diploma (Part 1) + Year 1 of Bachelor’s degree;
    • Diploma (Part 1) + Diploma (Part 2) + Year 2 of Bachelor’s degree.
  • After Grade 12, students may choose:
    • Diploma (Part 2) + Year 2 of Bachelor’s degree;
    • Direct entry to Bachelor’s degree (from Year 1).
  • After completing a Bachelor’s degree: Progression to Master’s or PhD programmes;
  • After completing a Master’s degree: Progression to a PhD programme.

  • University Foundation / Diploma (Part 1): Completion of Grade 11, IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0) for Diploma of Arts, Business, Engineering or IT; IELTS 6.0 (no band below 6.0) for Diploma of Health Science.
  • Diploma (Part 2): Completion of Grade 12, GPA ≥ 5.5, IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0) for Diploma of Arts, Business, Engineering or IT; IELTS 6.0 (no band below 6.0) for Diploma of Health Science.
  • Bachelor’s degree: Completion of High School with a graduation score of 7/10, IELTS ≥ 6.0 (Reading and Writing must be at least 6.0).
  • Postgraduate programmes: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree, IELTS ≥ 6.5 (Reading and Writing must be at least 6.0).

  • English Language Programmes: monthly intakes;
  • University Foundation & Diploma: February, August each year;
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes: February, July/August each year.

  • Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship: 50% tuition fee for the full programme, applicable to Bachelor’s and coursework Master’s programmes, awarded based on academic performance and meeting English entry requirements. Applicants must submit a separate scholarship application form together with the course application, answering two questions (maximum 600 words per question).
  • International Merit Scholarship: 15% tuition fee for the full programme, assessed based on academic results:
    • Bachelor’s level: High School GPA ≥ 8.5/10, or IB ≥ 29, or GCE A Level ≥ 9;
    • Master’s level: Bachelor’s GPA 3.0/4.0 or 6.5/10.

15. Accommodation and Other Services: UniSA offers one of the lowest living costs in Australia, approximately 13-16% lower than Melbourne and Sydney, and 7% lower than Perth or Brisbane, estimated at AUD 17,000 – 21,000 per year.
