Visa Application

Thursday - 04/12/2025

Malaysia is widely recognized for its streamlined and student-friendly immigration system. Vietnamese students aspiring to study in Malaysia are only required to meet basic conditions such as good health, strong moral character, adequate financial ability for their educational journey, and a genuine intention to pursue their studies seriously.

One of the key advantages of studying in Malaysia is the ease of the visa process: applicants are not required to provide financial proof, not required to attend visa interviews, and not required to present international English certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL before departure.

Documents required for the student visa application include:

  • Birth certificate
  • Highest academic qualification
  • Academic transcripts or current study records (for students still in school/university)
  • Passport
  • Ten 4×6 photographs
  • Letter of Offer
  • International Student Support Letter
  • Student visa application form
  • Visa processing fee

Student visa application procedure:

  1. Submit the application form and supporting documents to the education institution authorized by the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs to recruit international students.
  2. The institution forwards the visa application to the Malaysian Immigration Department for processing.
  3. Once approved, the Immigration Department issues a Visa Approval Letter (VAL), which is then sent to the institution and forwarded to the student.
  4. The student travels to Malaysia and completes their enrollment at the institution.
  5. Within two weeks of arrival, the student and the institution finalize all required procedures for the student pass, including the mandatory medical check-up in Malaysia.

With its efficient immigration procedures and supportive educational environment, Malaysia remains an ideal choice for students seeking a stress-free and accessible study-abroad experience.

Duc Anh EduConnect provides comprehensive support throughout the process, including academic assessment, program and institution consultation, document review, translation services, completion of application and visa forms, and direct communication with institutions and immigration authorities to secure the Visa Approval Letter for the student.
