UOW has 9 campuses:

  • Main Campus (Wollongong): Located at the foothills of Mount Keira, around 5 km northwest of Wollongong city centre and approximately 80 km from Sydney International Airport. UOW College is located within this campus.
  • Innovation Campus: Less than 2 km east of the Main Campus.
  • Southern Sydney Campus: Located in Loftus, adjacent to the TAFE campus, approximately 80 km from Sydney International Airport.
  • South Western Sydney Campus: Located in the centre of Liverpool, approximately 30 km from Sydney International Airport.
  • Sydney Business School: Prime location in Sydney CBD, approximately 15 km from Sydney International Airport.

  • After completing Grade 11: University Foundation + Bachelor’s (from Year 1)
  • After completing Grade 12, students may choose:
    • University Foundation + Bachelor’s (from Year 1), or
    • Diploma (1 year) + Bachelor’s (from Year 2), or
    • Direct entry to Bachelor’s (from Year 1)
  • After completing Bachelor’s (3-4 years): progress to Master’s or PhD programs
  • After completing Master’s (1-2 years): progress to PhD programs

    • 8 months: Completion of Grade 11, GPA ≥ 7.0; IELTS 5.5 (Reading & Writing ≥ 5.0)
    • 12 months: Completion of Grade 11, GPA ≥ 6.0; IELTS 5.0 (Reading & Writing ≥ 5.0)
  • Diploma
    • 8 months: Completion of Grade 12, GPA ≥ 7.0; IELTS 6.0 (Reading & Writing ≥ 5.5)
    • 12 months: Completion of Grade 12, GPA ≥ 6.0; IELTS 5.0 (Reading & Writing ≥ 5.5)
  • Diploma of Nursing (18 months): Completion of Grade 12; IELTS 7.0 (no band below 7.0)
  • Bachelor’s: High school graduation (accepts all Vietnamese high schools), GPA ≥ 7.25 (see details), IELTS 6.0-7.0 (depending on the program). Arts programs may require a portfolio. Or completion of Foundation/Diploma.
  • Coursework Master’s: Bachelor’s degree; IELTS 6.5-7.0 (depending on the program). Some programs require work experience and/or a portfolio.
  • Research Master’s / Doctoral (PhD): Honours Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree; IELTS 6.5-7.0 (depending on the discipline).

  • University Excellence Scholarships: 30% tuition fee for the full duration, for international students enrolling in Bachelor’s programs (same exclusions as above)
  • Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship: 30% tuition fee for the full duration, for international students enrolling in coursework Master’s programs (same exclusions as above)
  • UOW College International Bursary: 10% scholarship for Foundation/Diploma programs
  • UOW College English Language Bursary: AUD 390 per week for English programs
  • UOW Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship: 10% tuition fee for UOW Bachelor’s graduates progressing to a coursework Master’s program
  • UOW Country Bursary 2024: 10% tuition fee for eligible programs (same exclusions as above)
  • UOW Merit Based Scholarship 2024: 30% tuition fee per year (maintenance requirement: no failed subjects)
