The deadline for the Chrysalis International Young Leaders Conference is fast approaching and I wanted to remind you that there are scholarships available for key markets – including 1 x scholarship each for students from Japan; Malaysia; Taiwan and Vietnam.
Besides these scholarships, there is 1 more scholarship that is open for ALL nationalities which is sponsored by the UQ School of Economics. The only additional requirement to apply for this scholarship is that students will need to write a small essay. Details can be check with Lucy@ducanh.edu.vn or uni website.
The application process is simple – students just need to fill out an application form which includes a few supporting documents.
- Applicants can indicate in the email that they wish to be considered for scholarship.
- Students can still attend the conference without securing a scholarship; however will have to pay the participation fee of $2,300; plus organize their flights, visa and insurance (This I can help from Vietnam)
The scholarship covers the participation fee and is worth AUD$2,300. It includes all activities and workshops, mentoring, accommodation, meals, airport pick-up and drop-off, daily transportation, field trips and recreational activities organized as part of the program.
The scholarship does not include airfares, visa costs and insurance. The scholarship awardee must book their own flights and provide us with details once booked. This is a mandatory requirement to ensure we can organize pick-up and drop-off. The awardee must liaise with the nearest Australian consular services office to apply for a suitable visa well in advance. The awardee must have valid travel and health cover prior to commencing in the program.

- Chrysalis Conference: Saturday 28 July 2018 – Saturday 4 August 2018
- Application deadline: Tuesday 24 April 2018
Notes:
a/ Program is suitable for students with:
- Independence;
- Gpa >=80%;
- IELTS ~5.5 upward;
- Age from 14-17.
b/ Vietnamese students will have to apply for tourist visa/ purchase air ticket and insurance and other logistics, that can be supported by Duc Anh agency.
